클라리넷 삼중주라 할 수 있는 Dahl의 작품은 1947년 Benny Goodman을 위해 작곡된 것으로 신고전주의(neoclassicism)를 잘 드러내는 음악이고 마르티누의 작품은 전통적인 체코 클래식 위에서 쓰여진 현대적인 작품이며 카렐 후사의 음악은 제목에서도 알 수 있듯이 슬라브 음악을 담고 있으며 코다이를 연상시키는 작품이다.

러셀 할로우의 클라리넷은 울림이 좋고 현악기와의 조화와 균형도 훌륭하며 그리고 슬라브적인 느낌을 잘 살려내고 있다.
