베르디의 오페라의 주제 선율을 이용하여 편곡된 플루트 환상곡집.
‘플루트의 파가니니’로 불리우는 브리치알디는 플루트의 연주 기법 뿐 아니라 악기의 개량에도 재능 있는 이탈리아 작곡가이다. 특히 다른 작곡가의 멜로디를 사용하여 비르투오조적 테크닉을 구사하는 뛰어난 플루트 환상곡을 남겼다. 이 앨범에는 베르디 오페라의 주제들을 플루트를 위해 편곡한 비르투오조적 환상곡 7곡이 담겨있다.
트레비사니는 제임스 골웨이가 극찬한 플루티스트로 완벽한 기교와 아름다운 음색의 연주로 정평이 높다. 이들 기교적 작품에서 트레비사니의 눈부신 기예가 빛을 발하고 있다. 수록곡중 6곡이 세계 최초 레코딩이다.
