졸탄 코다이는 동유럽 민요에 대한 깊은 연구를 바탕으로 방대한 합창음악의 세계를 이룩하였다. 다채로운 표현을 원했던 그는 남성 보다는 대부분 어린이와 여성을 위한 합창에 치중했지만, 여기에 담긴 남성합창 전곡을 들어보면 다양한 주제를 통해 여타의 작품 못지않은 깊이 있는 표정들을 보여주었음을 확인할 수 있다. 종교적 합창, 민요편곡, 군가, 독립혁명 등 주제별로 명확하게 정리하고, 벨라 바르톡 남성 합창단의 완벽한 하모니로 연주되어 높은 완성도를 갖춘 음반이다.
