필라델피아 오케스트라와 피츠버그 심포니 등에서 오보에 수석을 역임한 드알메이다와 피츠버그 심포니의 수석 연주자들이 함께 낭만적 향취의 아름다운 오보에 앙상블 음악을 들려준다. 슈만 헌정작 '어린이 정경'을 시작으로, 아서 블리스의 풍성한 하모니 '대화', 슈베르트 '들장미'에 의한 청초한 변주곡 등이 이어진다. 무엇보다 기타명인 코스테의 3개의 소품과 음반의 타이틀곡 '호수 너머의 안개'에서 은은한 기타 반주위에 그려지는 오보에의 그윽한 선율은 절대 놓쳐서는 안될 아름다움이다.
