오스트리아의 작곡가 쇤베르크는 현대 음악에 있어서 새로운 경지를 개척한 작곡가로 후세에 많은 영향을 주었다. 수많은 교향곡과 ‘구레의 노래’, ‘달을 위한 피에로’, ‘모세와 아론’과 같은 무수한 명작들을 남겼던 작곡가이다.

이 앨범은 ‘인터컨템포레인 앙상블’과 지휘자 ‘조나단 노트’의 협연으로 아름다운 합창곡과 아카펠라 곡들이 수록되어있다. 쇤베르크 음악에서 느껴지는 숙연함과 엄숙함이 이들 앙상블과 지휘자로 인해서 한층 부드럽게 포장되었다는 느낌이 강하게 들것이다.
