Among the first Living Stereo recordings ever made, these historic recordings are the first Living Stereo sessions for Chicago Symphony Orchestra under the legendary Fritz Reiner. These landmark performances document the start of the legendary partnership of Fritz Reiner and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

When remastering the original recordings, John Newton and his engineering team used only two of the available six channels on the SACD disc because that was the vision of the original producers.
