필라델피아 오케스트라/세겡
번스타인: 미사
케네디 센터의 개관 기념 작품으로 재클린 케네디에 의해 위촉되어 1971년 초연된 레너드 번스타인의 <미사>가 DG 레이블을 통해서는 처음으로 야닉 네제 세겡이 이끄는 필라델피아 오케스트라의 연주와 함께 발매된다.
번스타인은 카톨릭 미사 형식 안에, 뮤지컬 가수, 록 밴드, 행진악단, 아카펠라 그룹 등 다양한 음악적 요소를 집결하여 그 규모와 형식의 다채로움으로 드물게 연주, 녹음되는 귀중한 작품이다.
2015년 5월 필라델피아에서 공연된 실황녹음으로, 대규모 합창과 성악, 연주진의 완벽한 짜임새와 뜨거운 열기로 영광스러운 순간을 전해 평단의 절찬을 받은 그 현장을 번스타인 탄생 100년을 맞아 특별 발매한다.
