Foghat는 1971년에 결성된 영국 락 밴드로서 음악에 일렉트릭 슬라이드 기타(electric slide guitar)를 가장 주요하게 사용한 밴드이다.

Fool for the City는 이들의 5번째 앨범으로 1975년에 녹음되었으며 Platinum record(100만장 이상 판매)를 기록한 이 밴드 첫 음반이며 Slow Ride가 인기를 끌었던 곡이다.

By comparison, all previous pressings of this album sound flat, uninspired, and boxy--the absolute opposite of the energy Foghat brings to the boogie-infused title track, great cover of the Righteous Brothers' "My Babe," and, of course, the everlasting "Slow Ride," a staple of the Guitar Hero video game franchise and gentlemen's clubs everywhere.
