작곡가들이 진정으로 원했던 연주가 무엇인지 그 원음을 찾기 위해 천공롤 속에 담겨진 연사적 연주를 발굴하는 두 번째 음반으로 바그너의 작품들을 선택했다.
바그너의 녹음이 남아 있지 않아 바이로이트 가극장 개장을 적극 지원하며 그 초기 지휘를 담당했던 바그너 신봉자 모틀의 녹음을 사용하였다.
바그너 미망인이 선택했던 최고의 바그너 지휘자가 남긴 귀중한 연주를 재현한 것이다.
