천상의 목소리를 지닌 우리 시대 최고의 소프라노 바바라 보니가 오랜 기간 함께 해온 파트너 말콤 마르티노와 함께 대서양 양편의 송라이터들이 쓴 아름다운 가곡들로 이루어진 프로그램을 선보인다.

영국측에서는 퀼터, 그리프스, 브리튼 등이 쓴 서정적이고 고풍스런 느낌이 가득찬 우아한 가곡들이 등장하며, 미국측에서는 코플랜드, 번스타인, 바버 등의 자유로운 기풍과 생의 활력이 느껴지는 발랄한 가곡들이 등장해, 절묘하고 상큼한 대비를 이루고 있다.

미국 태생이면서 런던에서 살고 있는 보니에게 더 없이 알맞은 레퍼토리들이어서 그런지 보니의 절창은 가히 최고의 완성도를 보여준다 할 것이다!
