텔레만의 환상곡은 바흐, 베스토프 등과 함께 바로크 시대의 무반주 바이올린 작품 중 첫손에 꼽히는 걸작이다.
앤드류 맨지, 레이첼 포저 등 소수의 녹음만이 존재했던 이 작품을 드디어 파비오 비온디가 녹음했다. 비온디는 텔레만이 자신의 원숙한 역량과 바이올리니스트로서의 기량을 마음껏 발휘한 이 걸작에서 독일 음악 특유의 폴리포니 전통과 가볍고 우아한 갈랑트 양식을 섬세하게 표현하고 있다. 비온디 특유의 다채롭고 감각적인 프레이징은 텔레만 음악에 유독 잘 어울리며, 완벽한 더블스토핑 기법도 찬탄을 보낼 만하다.
포저와 함께 동곡의 최고 명반으로 꼽힐 빼어난 연주다.
